The complementary study of econometrics, the primary quantitative method used in the discipline, enables students to become critical consumers of statistically based arguments about numerous public and private issues rather than passive recipients unable to sift through the statistics. It also enables students who can read competently as a law graduate, compute effectively as an accountant, and analyze data flawlessly as a statistician. “Vishleshan” (Research Forum)
Objective: To nurture the analytical skill of economics students by motivating them to participate in research activities through open discussions on importance of research in academics and guiding them in writing research papers. The department also conducted a survey of union budget 2018-2019. We conduct student colloquium- an article review sessions, paper presentation by the students to keep them engrossed in learning. Vichaarmanthan – a guest lecture series by famous personalities from the relevant field, adds value to the learning; Not only in the class but outside the class as well.
